Big Bang Theory at Paleyfest

Tomorrow night the cast of The Big Bang Theory will be appearing at Paleyfest for a panel and to answer questions from fans! And the panel will be simultaneously shown live in select movie theaters across the country.

I will be in the audience tomorrow, so follow us on twitter (@bigbangbuzzz) for live updates throughout the night! And I'm sure it'll give us plenty to talk about on this week's podcast as well.

Season 5 on sale soon

Season 5 of The Big Bang Theory will be available in the US next week, on the 11th, but it looks like it's already been released elsewhere in the world.

Many of the special features are already being shared on youtube - such as the new blooper reel:



The same user on youtube has also uploaded most of the other special features from the DVD. Have you guys picked up your copy yet?

Win two tickets to a taping!

Last week CBS started a contest where you can win two tickets to a taping of Big Bang Theory, as well as other prizes such as t-shirts, signed DVDs, and bobbleheads!

The contest runs through September 28th, and you can return back to the site once per week to enter again for more chances to win.

Kevin Sussman bumped to regular cast?

Just got home from tonight's taping of 6x02 for The Big Bang Theory! While I won't have the full taping report up until sometime late tomorrow, I did have this bit of information I wanted to share:

In the programs that are passed out to audience members, Kevin Sussman, who plays Stuart, is now listed along with the other main cast members under the "Starring" heading - in the past, he has always been listed with the "Guest Stars" instead. Additionally, he also has a mini-bio on the right side of the program, along with the other seven stars. After talking with a friend who was also at the 6x01 taping, she said he was listed prominently last week as well.

Up until early season 4, it was only Jim, Johnny, Kaley, Kunal, and Simon who were listed under "Starring." Then Melissa was added, and very soon after Mayim, as they both officially joined as regular cast members. While I haven't seen any articles yet that confirms this, it seems like we'll be seeing a lot more of Stuart this season!

Remember, though, in season 2 Sarah Gilbert was bumped up to a full cast member, but then the writers couldn't come up with enough material for her. Do you think they'll find enough to keep Stuart around more often?

Season 1 bloopers!

With the release of season 1 of The Big Bang Theory on Blu-ray came new bloopers! And one fan has uploaded them to youtube, which you can watch below:



One of the best parts of attending tapings is seeing the bloopers - have you gotten tickets for this season yet?

Season 6 taping dates announced

TVTickets.com has updated their taping schedule with dates for the start of season six of The Big Bang Theory! Episode 6x01 will tape on August 14th, and four more dates are currently listed through September.

I'm still not sure how often I'll be able to attend tapings this season, but I'd love to keep this site going with active taping reports if there's anyone who'd like to help out.

Big Bang Theory TV Guide Covers!

For the third year in a row, the cast of The Big Bang Theory is featured on one of TV Guide's special Comic-Con issues!

One side of the magazine displays Leonard, Sheldon, and Penny, and it flips over to reveal Amy, Raj, Howard and Bernadette.

The Big Bang Theory cover, along with covers also featuring Fringe (another personal favorite!), Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries, will all be distributed at the WB Booth at Comic-Con next week. For those not attending the convention, you can find them on newsstands starting on July 17th.

Are any of you guys going to be at Comic-Con? I'll be there on Thursday and Sunday - can't wait!

Behind the Scenes Video Specials

Back in January, at a taping one night we were told that a crew from E4 (a British TV channel) was there to film a behind-the-scenes special for The Big Bang Theory. And last week, during the airing of episode 100 in the UK, the specials finally aired!
